'Teach to Future Computer Orientation'

INTEL 'Teach to Future' group organised a twenty-day teacher-training programme at SNDT Women's B.Ed College in Aug-Sept 2001. Two teachers from the Secondary section, Reshmi Sinha and Pradnya Pagnis, were deputed for the programme.
The main objective of this programme is to train teachers to teach their subject with the help of latest technology. This training included the use of MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Publisher, MS Excel. Teachers had to prepare a presentation, newsletter and a website on any topic related to their subject.
The second objective of this programme is to train atleast ten teachers from each school. This training will help teachers to make their subjects more interesting to students.
After this course is over the School will receive a licenced copy of MS Office 2000, regisered for ten machines, and a encarta of Encyclopedia. It is a matter of pride that Pradnya Pagnis was awarded as one of the best participants in the programme.

Computers for Tiny Tots
From this year the Computer Literacy programme has been extended to tiny tots, We have added ten new titles of CDs. Computers fit of CD-ROMs to explore students' creative ability and to make their learning lovable and fun for children.
