N.I.E REPORT

The Times of India group has started a program called N.I.E, which means NewsPaper in Education. It was basically started to put a reading habit in small children. Newspaper was meant for elders but times of India tried to change this concept and they were successful in this because they started publishing special newspapers for children in which articals written by the children themselves.

 

The programme of N.I.E. has been implemented in our school since last eight years and has been very successful. This year I was the N.I.E.Coridinitor of our school and this has been avery nice experience for me to works as the coordinator.

We have various programmes through the N.I.E group organized specially for children like the colour splash, the quize competition ETC. These programmes were held for all the schools participating in N.I.E. There are various programmes, which are conducated in the school itself, we have special N.I.E. period every week for students of class vth to VIIth.
